❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Panchang is a Vedic almanac providing five key elements of each day — Tithi (lunar day), Nakshatra (star), Yoga, Karan, and Var (weekday). It guides auspicious timing for marriages, business, travel and all important activities.
Rahu Kaal is an inauspicious period ruled by Rahu that occurs once every day, lasting approximately 90 minutes. Starting new ventures, signing agreements, or beginning journeys during Rahu Kaal is traditionally avoided.
Choghadiya divides the day and night into 8 time slots each. Each slot is classified as auspicious (Amrit ✅, Shubh ✅, Labh ✅, Char 🟡) or inauspicious (Udveg ❌, Rog ❌, Kaal ❌).
All Panchang timings are calculated from local sunrise and sunset. Since sunrise happens at different times in Mumbai, Delhi, Dubai, or Toronto, every timing is unique to each city. VedKaal calculates based on your actual city coordinates.
